Fantasy Painting

Painting fantasy subjects is really fun and exciting for an artist! Many fantasy painters will paint mythical creatures such as dragons, centaurs (half man, half horse creatures) and other strange beings. Unicorn is another popular painting subject. In my example below I have painted a white pegasus (flying horse). In the Harry Potter series J.K. Rowling had many mythical creatures in her stories.
