Art Supplies are essential for being ready to paint with oils

On this page I will discuss some tips for beginners that may help them when they are learning to paint with oil paints.

When you are first starting out, you don't need to buy top quality oil paints on the market. Oil paints are made for beginners to use who are first learning this new skill. There are many brands that offer student grade oil paints. I will list these manufactures and provide information on what type of oil paints to buy. Most oil paints come in a couple of sizes; the small tube size and the larger tube size. I always buy the larger tube size in the white color as you use alot of white with oil painting.

Many artist do not use the color black but instead mix a dark color for that. The reason they do this is to have some color in their darks.

I will be offering a BEGINNERS OIL KIT at discount price for those interested. The kit will include everything you need to get started painting in oils.
