Cityscape paintings depict scenes of city buildings

This type of painting is usually scenes of buildings or a skyline of buildings. It usually has buildings in it and roads. Sometimes the artist will include cars in the painting as well. Many artist will paint human figures in their cityscape paintings. In addition, a cityscape could include a bridge over water. Cityscape paintings are much like landscape paintings except they have more building in them. Whereas a landscape is more of a natural scene from nature.

In my example below I painted "Sydney Harbour" from a photograph. This painting is a night scene of the harbour with the lights reflected on the water.

This next painting is more recent one I have done using a photograph of a night scene in Sydney Australia. People living here will recognize this area.
