Oil Paint Palette

These are simply the trays you set your paint out on. There are several types you can purchase as art supplies stores.

I started out using the original word palette that has the hole in it for your thumb. Here is a picture of my old palette...

You can also get a plastic palette that has individual cups to hold the paint in and a good size area for mixing colors in the middle. These can be used for various types of painting such as watercolor, and acrylic painting too.

There is a newer type of palette that actually locks onto your arm and eliminates the thumb hole. It is called the Parna True Arm Palette.

Another easy clean up tool for paints is using a disposable palette sheets. These sheets come in a pad that you just tear off and put your paints on. When your done painting, you just throw the disposable sheet with the used up paint away.
