Nice Work
by: Rafia Shujaat

For the first time painting, this is a beautiful painting. The Giraffe is good, don't touch it unless you want to add high tones for light etc. For the Sky, i would suggest you blend in the defined lines of white and blue. Use the fan brush in a wiggle way, I find it easy to work with fan brush. If you feel difficult in blending with the working brush, take a dry soft bristle one and just soft strokes to blend. For the trees, use low and high tones of green, like mixing the sap green, raw sienna and yellow will make a high tone. white and sap green low tone. If you add black to the high tone, dark shades are achieved. Try looking at Wilson Bickford or Bill Alexander, they have great videos for beginner training.

Keep up the good work. You will learn whenever you paint. Best of luck!

Stretchin out
by: Marilou

This is a wonderful painting! I love the giraffe. He is the focus of the painting so I would just leave him be what you want people to look at. I would soften the clouds (edges blended) and just gray down the trees so they are not so bright in color. Soften the edges on the tops of the trees too. You can leave the monkeys. When you gray the trees down the monkeys will be more noticeable. Well done!
